Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 buck i have. Question i was looking at carbon ROM an comments about crossbreeder mod do u know anything about that mod ..also something about entropy. I kinda understand a little but thought i would ask u first before i add crossbreed onto your ROM..I'm on your latest one

It looks like that mod does three basic things, neat ad blocking, entropy mods and DNS changes. The neat add blocking is kinda cool. I don't use block ads, it slows the system and most of the time you just get a black box where the ad is supposed to be anyway so whats the point. As for the entropy mods, that would be a bad idea to add. Doing it at the framework level causes a lot of partial wake locks and eats battery. I have tried the mods that the mod does but severely impacts battery life(at least for me it did). Reason number two not to use the entropy part is because i already have it built into the kernel. When done at the kernel level you get the performance but the wake locks disappear and and battery stays unaffected. The DNS thing really is a hit and miss thing. If you live in a densely populated area, changing the DNS servers would help because the alternate ones from the mod aren't the ones everyone else on the planet uses.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 okay thanks buck I'm glade i didn't do it ..your ROM is perfect the way it is i find no flaws or need to add that anyway was curious about it an you answered it perfect ..like i said i know a few things about it but wanted full detail on it ..lol thanks again killer... Okay Next Question.. Kernels I've Read That Some Kernels Aren't Playing Nice With 4.2.2 I'm assuming Any Kernels You Make Will Be Fine Cause Some Roms Are Still Using 4.2.1 Kernels On 4.2.2 Cause They Picked Off Of The Gsm Version And Its A program Issue..

Yes you can dirty flash. Just merged mr1.1 into contacts, MMS, desk clock, and a few other repos to finish off the merge to 4.2.2. No new options or anything added.

New build up. New build has new proprietaries and new kernel. New PVR/GPU stuff has been merged into kernel to match up with new proprietaries. Any of my kernels dated before the 15th will not work on the ROM from now on. Also for those of you who build the rom, my kernel now builds and syncs with the build.

OP updated with additional info regarding pe builds and kernels.

Another quick side note. Imoseyon put out a patch for kernels that enable kernels to boot on either 4.2.1 or 4.2.2. I have included the patch in my kernel as of 2-17 build and going forward. Pe builds 2-16 and new will still have to have a 4.2.2 compatible kernel to boot.
