Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

Just when I finished setting up a clean install. Knew I should've waited another day! Sigh

I'm thinking something may be wrong with the 03-06 build. I downloaded it and tried to do a clean install, but I kept getting symlink errors and it would never install. I restored a backup to get my phone running again. I then re-downloaded the update file and put it on my sd card. Tried another clean install and this time it did actually install. However, when the phone reboots it will never go past the Google screen. It sat there for 15 minutes. Rebooted and did a clean install of the 03-03 build and it installs and boots up fine. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

No clue. I actually got a replacement phone from vzw today and unlocked and that build is the first thing i flashed after unlocking. Booted just fine. Running it now. I completely wiped before obviously. I'm guessing bad download again.

Installed fine here, just dirty flashed over my clean install of the 3-03 build. Getting great battery life so far, I know that comment is premature but almost two hours only lost 9%. Thanks Buck! Wish I could donate.

You were correct. It was a bad download. Windows Update had updated my ethernet driver and every single file that I had downloaded all day was corrupted. I rolled back the driver and re-downloaded the rom and it installed fine. Stupid Windows.

With the above user having a bad download... It's there anyway you could provide md5s for each file? I prefer getting to check my md5s before each flash. Just verifies you have a good download.

Thank you very much Buck. Wish I could figure out the small things like that. I had a strange issue a little while ago. Google Backup Transport was requesting root permissions. What's up with that. I've seen spyware mask itself with names like that but I haven't downloaded anything.

Edit: Found that it only happens when toggling the Fast Charge. I suppose that's normal but never happened before. And the capitalization no longer capitalizes your name Buck lol!

Settings needs su perms to write the value to the system to enable fast charge

New build up. New kernel stuff, pie updates, Google update for calculating signal strength, keyboard capital "I" fixed, might be a couple more things I don't remember. I'll put a md5 up for it later but it is uploaded and ready to go.

I haven't been around on Project Elite lately, but I always keep track of what's going on here. I found this on RootzWiki. I thought it was this ROM at first! Just thought you guys should know. Project Elite has always been a class operation. Maybe he didn't know about you guys, but I think he should change his name.

[ ROM ] [ AOSP ] Project E.L.E (Extinction Level Event) [ 4.2.2 ] [ TORO ] 3/2/13

Wow guys something did a complete 180 on battery life cause its been amazing!! All lte and only down 25% since about 7 am and that's phone calls Google searches Google voice texting picture messaging comparable usage would have had me to this battery left before I got to work. Very nice thank you!!

Edit: That was 15% battery actually not 25%
