Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

Hey Buck:

I rarely use GPS on my phone. This morning I tried to use it but it didn't work.

When I go to maps the GPS finds my location right away and I'm also able to search and find pretty much any address that I put in, however, when I hit ...NAVIGATE... I keep getting a msg saying SEARCHING GPS and it never loads.

I went to settings/Location turned it on and off several times but that didn't do anything. I'm on your latest 04/16 wiped everything when I went from 04/13 to 04/16

Anybody else having this issue on 04/16?
Or anybody knows a fix for this?

I'm using Kernel that comes with the ROM.

Thanks

I'll check it today. Could be an issue with the app

Seems to be an issue with the app. You need to make sure it gets a full lock (GPS indicator stops blinking) before going into navigation then it works fine.

Yeap... That did it. Thank you again for your work.

That makes going into Google now and telling it to navigate somewhere kinda suck. But it's not a pe issue had happened on every rom I've ran.

Buck, another question for you. Many people report seeing lag, especially after 4.2.2, specifically while on homescreen and pulling down the notification bar. I didn't notice it much at first, but it does have a stutter to it. Similar when pressing the recents key. There is a fix posted by a user on xda at this post/thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40516029 . I hope I'm not breaking any rules with that link, I will edit it if I am.

It replaces some binaries and I have seen a big improvement. I'm still not sure where they came from but was told from "TeamAKan". Just thought you might wanna take a look and see what you think. I was thinking they might have come from a 4.1 ROM but I don't know if that would even work. They definitely work though and you might find a way to incorporate this or something similar in your builds.

I just put up a new build. MMS emoji and strip Unicode updates, new black list option in phone/contacts. Memory leak fixes. Pie updates. Also I manually put the lag fix in that was posted above. Let me know what you guys think. Oh kernel updated to 3.0.74 too

The lag fix I threw in there just to test and see what kind of results I get

Any theories where these files may have come from or how they may be fixing this issue? All I know is it's made a difference so far. Downloading new build now.
