Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

Hey Buckmarble, again I want to say how freaking awesome this rom again. I have PM you and even said it here were all to see but dude thank you for such an awesome rom. I have tried many other roms but I always keep coming back to yours. I did however, change the boot animation however (Steel Droid Rotating Cube).

What I also want to ask is if you can fix some very minor things in your "Dark Theme" as there are some things that is hard to read. Don't get me wrong, I simply love what you have done but some text needs to be changed in order for it to be read (not sure if anyone else has private messaged you about this). So here to the best of my ability from what I can see that needs to be changed (if possible dude)

*Gmail*
When reading a message, you will have the subject line in white. Right above it, to the right the Gmail icon you see the subject line again but that is a light grey and is kind hard to read. Maybe change that to a light blue color like you have the clock or maybe another white?

*Google Hangouts*
When you have chats open, like when you slide your finger to the right to see the conversations opened, that is a light grey. Maybe a white or even the blue like you have in the clock. I mean this really don't bother me so much as it is indeed readable but maybe a change?
Then when creating a new hangout and selecting your contact, that to is also a grey color that maybe could be changed?

I will see what I can do. Both of those apps were done by slim ROM. Perhaps they have updated it recently. If they haven't then those apps will have to be decompiled and edited. I'll see what I can come up with

Just wanted to take a quick second and express my gratitude for the donations. I have never had people donate for something this big. It is pretty amazing to me. It also shows how much you guys appreciate and enjoy the countless hours I put into the ROM. Again thank you very much for your generosity. I am just about at the half way mark on the upgrade price.

On a side note I have gotten to look into the bootloader "unlock" for the s4. I actually is a much higher level of a bypass and functions somewhat like kexec. What it does is it patched the boot img in a custom recovery and that bypasses the locked bootloader. So in easy terms, as long as you get a recovery that is patched loaded onto the device, you can flash anything like your normally would on the gnex. This method does not permanently modify any partition and at any point you may need to, you can restore back to stock with odin.

The pleasure is mine to help. You are one of the few DECENT guys out there that are dedicated to compiling great stuff to run on the Gnex. Also thank you for always responding in a timely manner to issues or comments we have; not unlike the sarcasm and direct rudeness I've experienced on other forums. Keep up the good work Buck and if you are very close to hitting your $$ for the SG4, send us an update. I'm sure I can donate more if needed. Take care and have a good holiday weekend.

Oh that right, I forgot you mentioned that it was ported from Slim ROM. Decompiled you say, that don't sound to hard. Might have me an adventure and see what I can come up with.

EDIT: Yeah the editing not going well, the .XML files comes up as garbled on any text editor I use. At least changing images is not that hard :P

Yeah they actually have to be decompiled not just extracted. Google decompile apk and you'll find utilities to do it

If I sell these phones, I can push a bit more your way.

What are you doing with your nexus? My nexus broke and I'm using my girls which her screen is cracked. Plus she's using a broken RAZR. She may be getting a new phone soon which she wants the sg4 but I'd love to see if the HTC one does come to vzw. As of yesterday I'm hearing the HTC one Google edition was confirmed but I doubt that version will be on vzw. (Booooo). Anyways I'm in need of a nexus bad so let me know what's going on with yours
