Well, Now I am truly Amazed.

My wife is the same way. A year ago when I bought a new motorcycle all she said was, I trust your judgement (we ride together 2 up), and then bought me farkles for the bike for father's day, my birthday and Christmas. Three days ago she decided on the Storm 2. No conflict here, especially since she spends a fair amount of time on the Storm and really likes it. What this means is she's very happy and I don't have to worry about her stealing my Droid!!!! Werks fer me!!!

My husband finally cracked and bought a Droid after watching me play with mine for a couple of months. We are both nerds so it was inevitable.

I'm working on getting him to root his Droid now :icon_ banana:

We are now a 2 Android household also.
My wife is on Sprint, so she opted for the Hero. An ok 1.5 phone, but it is not a Moto Droid. She is a user manual reader, so her learning curve will be much longer than mine was with my Droid :greendroid:. However, she is very PC literate, so I don't see it taking too long. She was up till 5am that first night after we got the damn thing. That is more obsessed than I am.

gf got an eris the other day. she keeps calling it a droid though, not sure what i should do about that..it confuses my droid.

My wife hates my phone I get your on that damm thing again, but when we need directions or she wants info real quick now the phones her best friend.:motdroidhoriz:

A week after Droid's release, i'm walking thru Bestbuy with the fam, and a brand new 2TB seagate drive for my system, and the droid stops me in my tracks. She looks at me and the hard drive and says is that all you need today? So i start playing with the phone, and tell her no, i dont need this drive anymore, i want this phone. So she says well if you're getting one, i'm getting one. And then the kid pipes in and says i want one also(while he's holding 2 xbox360 games). We were all due for upgrades.

20 minutes later we walked out with 3 brand new Droids.

My wife is not computer savvy at all ... but when she needs to do something on her phone she understands in seconds. All 3 still unrooted.

I think it is GREAT that the "female" stereotype is going away. My wife is great with a PC, phones, and YES, she can program a dvr! The "old" days are a thing of the past. We are having a great time together teaching each other, and showing each other up with our Android devices. She even stopped calling it a phone, and now calls it a "device". Damn I got lucky!

A wife here...

Hubby started talking about this Droid thing and we kept walking by them at BJs. First you walk, then you play...

We bought two. It was for Christmas. :-)

Now I have more apps than him, and I just bought a dock and an extra battery. :icon_ banana:

Haha that's so funny. I hope that I marry someone who tolerates geeks ok when I grow up [:, my girlfriends right now probably would think it's lame. Right now me, my Step Dad, and Step Uncle all love our Droids, there the coolest phone ever. Sadly no one is interested in rooting and hacking but me.

So I have had my droid for a while now.... and my wife kept stealing the little guy from me. She actually liked it so much she went out today and came home with an Eris! She loves Nascar, Football, AND Android? Damn... I am a lucky man!

My wife loves NASCAR (#24) - K9 style on Sunday so we can both watch the race :), Football (Panthers) but also her dumb phone. Well like Meatloaf said, "two outta three ain't bad."

oh - she also loves The Big Bang Theory on TV. She thinks it's a hoot when I explain all the science to her (string theory, super colliders, etc.) She just goes on and on telling me what a geek she married.
