What are Your First Impessions Of The Galaxy Nexus?

Played with one this morning but was not blown away. I'd been fooling around with a Skyrocket at the AT&T store just before and actually liked it better. Granted, I didn't get deep into ICS at the Verizon store but still. Camera took a steady hand but did take good, fast pictures (couldn't distinguish from Skyrocket). The biggest thing was the build quality. The door kept coming off because it was attached to a security tether and the pressure was too much to keep it on. The whole thing felt cheap.

Played with one at Verizon this morning as well with intention of dumping my Bionic. Didn't really see the big deal...no faster than my phone that I could quantify...at least my phone with aftermarket rom. Verdict still out...I still may end up getting it at some point.

two more things that might be problems is yes the camera is very washy with colors but it records videos beautifully so may just need a update, also iv noticed alittle heat from around the camera area when im multitasking with the phone. I did just start it back up an was very happy the phone had actually saved the browser when it shut down and all my websites were still up.. kind of a cool feature

I can't find swype

I was kind of bummed they didn't pre install that also. I can hardly text without it anymore. Anybody have the link to install it? I did it on the OG, but that was along time ago. I wouldn't even know where to look anymore.

First data drop... I'm in my office which can't touch 4G, but can hold 3G fine. Dropped 3G about 20 minutes ago and just now got it back. LTE ftw...

And the screen, while nicer than the Razr due to 720p, is the same as the Razr... the dimness created by RGBG just wears on me unless brightness is turned way up, which auto brightness doesn't seem to turn up much at all in a light room.

But it's sleek for sure...

I tried to download swype through the installer and it gives a "screen size not supported" error, slide it works fine though - it was a dime in the market a few days ago

Just Google swype. Then go on there and sign up for the beta

dBm is averaging 5-15 higher than my Bionic in the exact same location...now two data drops in the last hour, one was only for a few minutes though... and I don't know what "asu" is next to dBm, but it's bouncing between 1 and 4

I had read over at MDW about mediocre radio performance, and while it's only the first day, it's living up to that so far.

Would like to hear about GPS lock time. Had 2 samsungs in the past and GPS took a minute or more to lock. Could someone download GPS fix and post the lock times? Also my bionic has excellent voice call quality, can someone compare that please? The data drop problem with bionic is my main reason for switching, could someone comment on data drops? Thanks for any info!

Has anyone restored a titanium backup with user app data yet, how did that go? And anyone with a Mac try rooting with it yet? Picking mine up, just want to restore user app data basically, don't care about texts and all that stuff.

I freaking love this thing. The display is beautiful, like it much better than the Razr. Phone doesn't feel big AT ALL, even coming from a D1. Everything is fast and snappy as expected. ICS is great. Speaker volume is pitiful. Don't plan on playing music very loudly on this.

Camera shutter speed is stupid fast. Picture quality is decent. Nothing I'm blown away by, but definitely good enough for everyday use. Picture quality on the Rezound is much much better. I love the in-camera edits and processing, very cool. I've found it takes a very steady hand to get a sharp picture, otherwise you get a little motion blur. I think it has something to do with the instant shutter, as it literally snaps/processes the picture the moment you touch the button. Because it's so fast, any amount of movement gets magnified tenfold.

Everything else is great. No problem with 4G so far, getting 15-18mpbs here in my office with 2 bars. I purchased the extended battery while at the store. Came out to $37.49 with my discount. I also picked up an Incipio silicone/hard case. I actually like it. Might be leaving it on for good.

Browser is awesome, no complaints there. That's it for now, as I haven't really messed with it too much.
