After Playing with numerous phones (from people I work with and family and friends).
HTC makes the best manufacturer skin of android with HTC sense, and only one other modern device matches the og droid in developer/hacker support, the nexus one. The Nexus One was a failed marketing experiment, AND its on the Tmobile network, which is alright, but it ain't verizons and the droid has a keyboard.
Gotta go with the OG Droid for hacking (I still have mine), but Im loving my Droid2global for sheer capability.
Its a tossup. Boils down to what you have or need. Not many people are going to say any other device than their own is better than their own
