What does everyone do for work?

27, Network Administrator for a liquor distributor in New York. Server03, AS400, Linux, Telephony, VTC... you name it we've got it. What we've got, I fix :)

I'm a systems/virtualization engineer, IT guy. I spent 9yrs in the military and have been working as a contractor every since, it's a fun job for the most part since I'm can build network infrastructures for a living.

That also kinda makes me a geek by default, I have to know how things work ;)

20... 6 months to 21.

Student.. Halfway through junior year. On an athletic scholarship playing Lacrosse at a small private school in North Carolina.

Business Finance major planning on attending grad school for a masters in accountancy. Looking to use accounting to start my career after grad school but do not want to stay in accounting for more than 5 years, more or less use it as experience and a good way to get my foot in the door in the "business world."

So,, that's what I plan to do in terms of work. But I have no problem continuing more schooling after I finish my undergrad in a year and a half.

Work in the summer though back home in Minnesota for the Utilities department for the city I am from, as a seasonal employee. 40 hours a week, work 7am-3:30pm. and Make 14.25 an hour is a pretty good summer job for a college kid.

Also worked as a cart attendant at a country club last summer, but that was more or less just to play free golf.

This summer looking to find an internship (hopefully paid) in either NC or MN. Anyone got any leads? haha.

Just got my Droid a week before Xmas and I don't think I have set it down yet. Got a week left of Christmas break and then I head back to 6am workouts followed by classes all day with 5-8pm practices. Only to get home, shower and study, maybe try and eat, and then attempt to get to bed so I can do it all over again the next day (6x a week).

That's my story.

I'm 23 and am a mechanical engineer for an energy company in California (power, energy efficiency, etc). The droid was my dive into the smart phone world... haven't looked back yet :)

30, just got out of the Navy on Med Discharge. did 11+ years on Submarines. do side work on car SRT-4s too

San Diego Ca.

Truckin'

Hmmm, I'm feeling a bit old here. I'll be 64 in March. I'm a truck driver and have been since 1974. I mostly run between Reno and Salt Lake City, or Las Vegas (though I've periodically been everywhere you can go in one day from Reno). I usually pull triple trailer combo's.

I'm jealous of those posters who either were on submarines, or are planning on being on subs. I joined the navy back in 1965 with the expressed plan of getting sub duty. Without going into a story, I ended up NOT on subs, and instead got into the 'security group' as a Cryptologic Technician (then referred to as "Communication Technicians"). Back then, they could promise you anything to get you to sign up. Once in, you were theirs!

Anyway, I'm loving this web site. It was because I hung out here and read and read for a couple weeks prior to my biting the bullet and buying my Droid that helped me make the decision. I've never looked back!

You guys here do the "heavy lifting" when I need advice or look for new ideas on what I can do with this computer cum phone.

:lifting:
