Actually it isn't the black wallpaper app. It's wallpaper I found online that is mostly black. I love go launcher. Haven't noticed it putting strain/drain on battery. There are some hiccups now and again, but notice that with stock launcher too....

Go launcher is nice and fast and customizable.

Also: I noticed 2 things - it actually uses less ram than the stock launcher. About 8 - 10 mb less! And it's smoother and everything loads faster! Nice!
