Just started running 2.9.2, and just saw gingerbread 2.3. Which one is better?

Gingerbread isn't out for the fascinate. There is a gingerbread theme that changes the colors. Punk.kaos is working on a gingerbread build cm7 but is not yet close to putting it out.

There is a gingerbread theme you can place over superclean 2.9.2 I installed it tonight. I love it.
