At first android wasn't deserts... it should've been, apple pie, banana pudding, cupcake, devils food, eclaire, froyo, gb, honeycomb, ics, jelly bean, kandy cane, licorice, mocha creme cake, nutter butter, .. etc.

But the deserts didn't start until eclaire.. as far as I remember anyway.

Ahh, the d version was donut but was released on Sept 15, 2009 and replaced by eclair a little more than a month later on Oct 26. No wonder no one remembers donut.

Then came the nightmare going from eclaire to froyo... and a similar incident from froyo to gb... then gb to ics.. so far it doesn't seem like the jb updates are as problematic... too early to tell though..

I didn't notice that nightmare because I was rooted and using froyo roms when I made the switch. But each rom had its quirks that you were constantly updating and adjusting.
