Whatcha up too?

What am I up to? Just finished a brake job on my truck. Pads and rotors. It took me two hours from garage door opening to garage door closing. Surprisingly everything went smooth. I wonder what I did wrong?

I have to change brake pads on my Civic soon. Luckily, no rotors, but I assume pads will take about an hour.

Just take your time compressing the calipers. I was in a hurry one time and wasn't paying attention and I blew the seal around the cup. NOT GOOD. And yes, the cap on the master cylinder was loose.

Where can I get a good set of rotors for a decent price? I need a set of front rotors for my Mitsubishi.

I usually get my rotors from Autozone. I have a 2001 Ram. I don't need anything fancy like slotted and drilled. Rotors for my truck cost $50 each.

I don't need anything fancy either. Just some decent ones to get me by. Problem is that I need upgrades for this car. Some decent slotted or drilled rotors should have came standard. Not Brembos but something better then what was stock.

Pads only should go pretty quick. Little trick I learned was to not take out the top bolt holding the caliper in place. Loosen it enough so you can rotate the caliper up then tighten the bolt back down. This will hold the caliper up in the air out of the way and not put stress on the hose by not letting it just hang down. Also acts as a holder for when you compress the calipers.

Sounds like you forgot to drink lots of beer. Lol.

SS is solid state, do you know how many times I refer to my SSD's as stainless steel drives. Oops.

I'll check out some prices on some SSs. My Mitsubishi is AWD so I'm gonna need rears eventually. Autozone charges real heavy for the rear rotors. So I'm checking if anyone had a site they goto for brakes.
Would like Brembos but I'm gonna trade this car in. Twin-Clutch Systems are headaches. Smh.
