Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
even the blackbar mod?

yes that will put the old Framework-res.apk back on your phone. Im not sure what Files got updated with this release so even though it might work and look right you could be downgrading some features
hmm..well i'll just run with it until 1.1 black bar comes out..i can't imagine it would be that long

As a fairly new user of Sapphire I have to ask, when going from one version of Sapphire to a new one, is it officially required to wipe both data and cache like I did when coming from a different ROM? I don't have a problem doing it other than the extra work getting the phone set back up. I'm just thinking it would be nice to not have to at least wipe the data. I know I can just try it, but I just wanted to double check on what the official stance is on it.

You can never go wrong it seems with a full wipe, however, being lazy I upgraded via RM from Sapphire 1.0 to 1.1 with absolutely no issues for me. Very smooth upgrade and operation. About all I've done is remove some of the stock apps with the scripts. I was so happy with 1.0 that I was almost hesitant to upgrade, but the new version seems just as stable so far.

Thanks, just finished up after full wipe. Seems like the more I do those the faster I get at restoring lol. It wasn't as painful as the first time. Of course the first time I was coming from stock 2.1 to rooted 2.1 and had to reinstall all my apps to get them reassociated with the market lol.

So I just noticed something odd when I went into ROM Manager to make a backup of my shiny new base 1.1 install after setting everything up. Somehow installing Sapphire 1.1 through ROM Manager blew out CW Recovery? I had to re-flash CW recovery before ROM Manager would let me do anything. Anyone else have this happen?

is the only update the new boot animation?
1.1.0:
New boot animations [Ludacrosse05]
Luda has been nice enough to make some truly kick-ass boot
animations for our new release :D

Updated Obsidian to 2.3.9 [cvpcs]
Updated the obisidan build to the latest proprietary leak,
courtesy of P3Droid.

Added Tanzanite (Droid 2) build [cvpcs]
Added a tanzanite build to test if it has similar problems to the
obsidian build.

Bug fixes:
Fix to MMS for Ruby [koush]

1.0.5:
Added hijacking to the build [cvpcs (build-related)]
[koush (original source)]
I have incorporated some of koush's source for his hijack script
for devices that don't support an unlocked bootloader.

Added Emerald (HTC Evo/Supersonic) build [cvpcs]
Added a vendor setup for the HTC Evo to begin some work on that
as well, being it has similar hardware to the Incredible.

Added custom kernel for Emerald [cvpcs]
Added some custom kernalage for the evo!

Upgrade Ruby to new 3.21.605.1 proprietaries [cvpcs]
There is a new leak of Froyo for the Droid Incredible, so Ruby
has been upgraded to reflect this new leak.

Added ability for multiple devices to mount [koush]
Ruby can now mount internal storage to /mnt/emmc

Bug fixes:
Volume button music command fixes [cvpcs]

1.0.4:
Added new, custom kernels, for RUBY [cvpcs]
Added some new kernels for ruby so that touch events will once
again register. Thanks to koush/cyanogen for the tip on the
touch event config.

Other tweaks:
New (less ugly) boot animation for Ruby [cvpcs]

1.0.3:
Upgraded to new leak proprietaries [p3droid]
P3Droid recently released the new proprietaries for the FRG22D
build, which have now been included into the release.

Consolidated build [cvpcs (modifications)]
[cyanogen (base idea)]
In order to better allow for multiple device support, the build
configs are now consolidated across all devices. This means
a more common experience for all systems running a GEM.

1.0.2:
New kernels [cvpcs]
Added some new kernels with interactive governor support, which
provides a tradeoff between battery life and performance that
leans more towards performance. Note that ondemand will remain
the default as it promotes better battery life. The stock
125-1000LV kernel has also been replaced by the 250-800SV kernel
for the purpose of providing more stability out-of-the-box.

Various fixes:
Fixed FC with GEM Settings/DSP Manager [cvpcs]
More tweaks to the volume button music controls [cvpcs]

1.0.1:
Added rsync [dylex]
As per a request I have added the rsync binary for those who
would use it to sync data between their phones and various other
sources.

Removed ChromeToPhone [cvpcs]
As ChromeToPhone is now in market, there is no need to include
it here.

Added VolBtn Music Control Enable option to GEM [cvpcs]
Added an option in GEM Settings to enable/disable the volume
button music controls.

Added Audio DSP settings [alankila]
Alankila did some awesome things with Audio Digital Signal
Processing, which have now been incorporated into GEM Settings.

Re-enabled stagefright player [cvpcs] (thanks google)
A recent check-in to the froyo source tree has fixed the audio
issues some were experiencing in stagefright, specifically with
AAC+ and eAAC streams. Thus I have synced the fix and re-
enabled stagefright for media playback.

Loving 1.1! Can't wait for the droidx theme. Thanks for this awesome release!

Anyone else having a problem installing the Google search update from the market after installing 1.1.0?
The new Voice Search app?
Mine installed and works just fine.

Open-Source Meets Customization...hmmm.
I wonder where that came from hehe ;)

No, the Google Search app. It's like the market thinks the app is not on the device so when you try to install it it downloads then brings up an installation error.

Ahh, I see. Just checked and I have the same problem.

Also, other kernels aren't playing well. I consider myself a seasoned user, and I always use Chevy's kernels.
Using the exact same one send me into bootloops. Only ones I can get working are the ones released for Sapphire.....BIG bummer!

Sorry for posting this on several sites, I'm just not sure which one the devs are actively reading.

Bugs encountered:

GPS does not work. You can get a general location but it will not pinpoint resulting in the loss of turn by turn navigation.

Camera shoots in 3mp

No 720p for Video

Hulu has the "devil voices"

Thanks for a great ROM hopefully these issues can get ironed out!

Edit: This is for Ruby.
cvpcs said he was updating the bug tracker for the Incredible. Drop by and maybe post a few of these? It was mainly a complete port of the Sapphire version, so some things might not be working together very nicely :)

Gmail is giving me FC's on 1.1 sapphire, this happen to anyone else?
Did you wipe? I am having no such problems with gmail.

the sapphire rom.zip wipes the system partition. so you HAVE to install the gapps.

I wouldn't mess with the market hack. With 2.2 official, why would it be needed?
ROM Manager is an option. You could drop a file manager into the rom .zip. You could make a backup, install the rom, make a backup of that, restore your previous setup and rename the gapps file, then restore the rom backup and apply the gapps fiel.

You have many options.

You've intrigued me with these options...I use SBRecovery so no ROM manager for me. I would like to try this dropping a file manager in the zip. Question is which one and where on the SD card are they saved? I wouldnt call myself a noob here but I wouldn't call myself a pro either, perhaps some sort of intermediately skilled gentleman? I use astro file manager for most of my copy paste renaming ROM needs. I actually had no idea you could just add things to the zip file...but it makes sense...

You could use an app like root explorer and pull one out of /data/app, and then paste it into the system part of the rom file. I can explain it more if needed.

Not the market update, but the 1.1 gapps ...
