I have the Moto Droid and love it. My fiance has the Eris and used to love it before she got the 2.1 update. She does not really like it now. I have talked to her about rooting it and now she wanting to try it. I would like to know the benefits of rooting the Eris, I know the Moto Droid is a huge difference when you root. Can you overclock and get custom ROM's on the Eris like you can the Moto Droid? Sorry I havent really have to time to research it. If anyone can give me some insight Id appreciate it. Maybe even the proper way to root and how to do things would be great. Thanks
