you wont lose your contacts, but before you install a rom you need to get a backup app from the market. I would suggest titanium backup or my backup pro. with these you can backup your apps and restore them after you flash a rom

No, you don't want 1.9.3, that build had battery drain issues. You want 1.9.0

Ya im on 1.90 right now and love the speed(fastest rom) CANT WAIT for 1.95

Pretty sure the blur cam works, don't think gallery does (same as 1.8.x/1.9.x).. but I have not tested it yet...

Edit: after about 8 versions, it's still very alpha, but getting better...
