Where did it start: Swype/Gesture/Trace keyboards

It depends on the keyboard app. Samsung's stock keyboard app leaves something to be desired when it comes to swiping. When I got first got my S7 edge I started using the stock app but found that I was tapping more. I stuck with it because I liked the theme support. I've since gone back to using SwiftKey and have to constantly remind myself to swipe because I've gotten out of the habit. Swipe works much better on SwiftKey because predictions are better.

Been reading a lot of plus comments about Swype. Guess I'm going to have to finally get it. Been wanting to, just didn't want to pay. I'm aware of the trial, but a trial period really isn't enough time to decide if this product is going to work especially if it's dependent on predictive text.
