Where is Everyone Getting Their Maxx's?

I saw them available at multiple retails store here and I ending up buying one at a local Verizon reseller a couple weeks ago. The seller was elated because it was the first MAXX he had sold, there doesn't seem to be a lot of demand for them here in Lincoln, Nebraska yet.

I finally decided to dump Sprint, and after countless hours of internet research, I decided Verizon's RAZR BOGO deal and double data offers were the right choices for me. Yesterday, I called two local Verizon stores and was told no stores in 500 miles had the RAZR MAXX in stock, but they would be happy to order them for me.

I drove to the local mall where the closest Verizon store was, to order these phones. I talked to the sales rep for a few minutes and found out he had two MAXXs in stock. I was elated!

As he went through the process of activating my new phones and porting my numbers, I found out he was a Verizon reseller, and the corporate store was down the hall somewhere else in the mall.

It was a happy mistake for me. I love my MAXX, it's a great improvement over my EVO. But why do Verizon resellers have the MAXX in stock when the corporate stores don't?

Every Best Buy is Sold out. Every Verizon store within a 200 mile radius is sold out. They say they can order one in, but it will take 5-7 days, and even that is not guaranteed as it's a first come first served basis. On top of that - they are doing the buy one get one free thing - why would they do that if there is such a shortage?

I'm planning on replacing my nexus with it, but I'm afraid I will be stuck with it because I only have a couple more days to exchange it =(

How in the world are you guys getting them? Am I missing some secret backdoor way to order, that is obvious to everyone else except me?

The buy one get one free offer is only for the regular Droid Razr, not the Max.

Not true. My buddy got the Maxx with BOGO. He ordered it online.

The BOGO is on the RAZR and the MAXX... It is listed online at the VZW site. the promo ends this Monday the 2/20/12.

I went to a local verizon store and they had one left - I told them to hold it so I could take my nexus back.

So now I've got the Razr MAXX in my possession now =)

Guess I got lucky!

How is the camera and screen on that? I got the nexus because the screen is so amazing and we'll its a nexus only thing I wish was on the Galaxy Nexus is the 8mp camera.

The screen is nice camera is better since the update had the nexus I prefer the Maxx better.

The screen isn't quite as sharp as the Gnex but still looks really good. The only thing I miss about the Gnex display is the added width. It wasn't drastically wider, but it made typing in portrait much easier. I find myself fumbling more with the Maxx. It is just a matter of getting used to the Motorola aspect ratio again.

Hmmm! It's a beast already in my opinion . I can't wait to get ICS though than it will be The Beast of all Beasts!

My original Droid died (glass failure) and I went to my reseller today. They were out and claimed it was on backorder - could be 1 - 1.5 weeks- due to a parts shortage. They gave me a new LG Revolution to use in the meantime. I love this phone and its nearly a year old. Can't wait for the Maxx to arrive.
