Which ROM is best?!?!

Downloading and gonna give it a try. Liked 2.4 and the wifi issue caused me to remove 2.5 I tried MIUI over the weekend and like the rom but it seems to be a heavy rom that likes to use a lot of resources and is too slow for my taste. So I re flashed Liquid 2.4 and I will now update to 2.6 I really hope the data problems are fixed

I want all the latest features in a rom. I heard those are the 2nd-init(sp?) roms(ala MIUI), but I love battery life too. I'm currently using DSX GB and this battery life is amazing. After first 100% charge I got 24 hours off of HEAVY usage...downloading apps, music, browser, etc. Today been light usage and these are results:
9h 46m 31s (84% left)
Wi-Fi 22%
Phone idle 21%
Display 17%
Cell standby 17%
Voice Calls 13%
Android OS 5%
and couple other small things.

I may give MIUI or CM7 a try but you cannot beat that battery life. Oh, and this on stock battery.

HOLY CRAP! You must post screen shots. That's outstanding battery life.

I have been on MIUI since Tuesday, and unless something HUGE comes out I am thoroughly happy with how far MIUI has come. It is very advanced in the way of features, its extremely fast and smooth, and its by far the easiest ROM (across all devices) to customize. Much like all the other previously mentioned ROMs this too is a 2nd init, but MIUI stands out as a more different Android experience.

I gotta say, I love MIUI and CyanogenMod, but the poor battery life drove me to ASOP Liberty. It's a fantastic ROM, very fast, and has great battery life. I got over 22 hours with a single charge this past weekend. Also, with ASOP Liberty, you can add in the blur Camera and FM radio apps. I prefer the blur DX camera any day over the stock one the 2nd init Roms come with. I do miss the customization of CM7 and MIUI, but I gotta have a Rom that gets through a whole day. I highly recommend ASOP Liberty to anyone with a DX. Zero freezes or reboots either. Gotta love that!

I forgot to mention in my previous post, and was reminded by the post previous to this one. The camera on MIUI blows any Moto camera app I've used out of the water. Its extremely fast to load and the pictures retain GREAT image quality in almost any lighting situation. There is hardly any noise in any of my shots WITHOUT messing with any settings. DX's Froyo cam was OK because the option to manually set the ISO was available, but with the upgrade to Gingerbread they removed that feature and made the camera USELESS under any non direct sunlight scenarios.

So if you use your camera a lot then that should be a selling point alone on MIUI

I've been out of the loop for awhile (still running Liberty 1.5/Froyo). I see mention of tethering in this thread. I'm looking to hit up a GB ROM but must not lose wifi tethering; it is my most crucial app. Suggestions?

All the 2nd-init GB ROM's can run it

I tried pretty much all GB ROMs and got tethering to work with all of them.

While you're on Froyo though, I recommend trying CM7.

CM74DX

Excellent. Can I use my existing Android Wifi Tether app or will it require something else?

I'm pretty sure you can use the same one. You'll just have to run it and see. I use "wireless tether"
