Which volume app again?

It seems to work for everyone else, are you using the free version? If so, it limits you to 4 I believe, which isn't enough. I have the version from the developers site and I'm set to 9, it's perfect at that level. Also, as someone mentioned in the thread, you have to enable it in Music Effects in Settings--> Sounds.

I didn't enable it let me try that. I am guilty ofbthe free version.

Downloaded from the market and there's no significant differences...

The Volume+ (free) in the market is not updated and doesn't work. Buy the app for a buck sixty two or download from the developers website.

I use the free app Equalizer and find it works terrifically. You have to keep it running in the background which isn't hard and it doesn't take enough battery every to be listed.

I cannot get the paid version that was linked in an earlier post to work. I'm running Theory ROM ZYGOT and his kernel 3.0.8-ge0f3bc-dirty Fab@apex #11. I'm guessing because of the disclaimer that was given with the Volume+ app this kernel I'm running is not compatible?

How do these apps affect sound quality? Also, would it not be taxing on the speaker to make it produce volumes louder than it can handle?

Sound quality is fine and the speaker can handle a ton more than it's set for.

I've been running equalizer constantly since I was told about it and it's helped everything. The reason the speaker is too quiet is a software not hardware issue.

I just dl'd this last night, went to "Volume+" in the market, then clicked on the "visit webpage" under the "DEVELOPER" heading and got the full version. Enabled it in settings and clicked +9, works great on my Gnex. Running stock, no root or anything. Did it all right on the phone.

I can't find it (the full product) on the website

And honestly, I'm DISGUSTED that this problem exists. Poor QA/horrible decision to rush this product. I gotta guess if my phone has a text/phone call. Pitiful.

Paying for a fix just doesn't seem right when I just paid 300 dollars....

Send it back if you are that mad at it.

I use Volume+ and all is well. Now granted, this should have been fixed already but it isn't. We do jot need more repeats of the same negativity. We all know the speaker issue and we now have a way to fix it. If you can't find the full version on the site, pay 2 bucks for it and be done with it.

volume+ works great for me. I have it set at +4. They have a warning to not go too high. Has anyone had any problems, or "blown" a speaker by setting it higher? What does everyone think the max setting is without running into problems?

From the Market>>>"A Cyanogen Mod 7 or MIUI ROM is HIGHLY recommended. Running this app on a Stock ROM/Kernel may result in it not working, being far too quiet, or getting even quieter. PLEASE don't comment or rate badly if you are on a Stock ROM as this is most likely the problem.
Thanks." It also says>>> "This Application is ONLY for phones running Gingerbread.
It will NOT work on any other version of Android but should work on ANY phone running Gingerbread (2.3)." How are you guys with Galaxy Nexus with ICS getting results. I didn't try the paid version but the free version made little to no difference. Plus it was buggy, kept force closing all the time.....I'm using an EQ app that helps but still not that great.
