Who has gotten the 2.3.20 OTA update? and when?

and how to do the recovery mode thing?

i already have the file...

Rename the file to update.zip and put it in the root of you SD card (/sdcard).
Turn your phone off.
Hold the "x" key on the keyboard and turn the phone on (still holding the "x" key).
Wait for the "yield" sign.
Release the "x" key.
Press the search key on the keyboard.
When the menu appears use the arrow keys to scroll to "apply sdcard:update.zip" and click the OK button to select it.
Wait for it to finish.
When it's done use the arrow keys to select "reboot system now".
You're done.

and i WONT lose any information?

Yea I haven't received it yet as well. Is this stock recovery thing only for root users? Because I'm not rooted. Launcher pro couldnt have anything to do with me not getting it right? Just checking I know its probably a stupid question.

Launcher Pro has nothing to do with it. If you're anxious to get it download the manual one that is available now. It's the same thing that's going out OTA. Matter of fact I would prefer doing the install myself then have to depend on the OTA.

Sorry man I don't see the blur.zip file at all. I'm either losing it, or it wasn't there.

just installed the update, using jasnmar's specific directions, so far no issues, can tell its the new one just by the lock screen, will test battery life soon, thanks for all the help!

I did the update all at whole foods while eating lunch.

1. Download the file from your phone, from the link here
2. go to download folder and move the file to root of the SD card by using Astro file manager
3. Rename the file from blur.zip to update.zip
4. then use the instructions from above on installing it.

thanks sippy i figured it out. although nothing appears different, i was hoping at the very least the lock screen would be smoother like my friends d1 but its not, oh well. can i delete that file now that im done updating?

The slider is still disappointing. I haven't noticed anything big yet either. I'm really looking to see how the battery will hold, wifi issues and faster location tracking (GPS)....speaking of GPS tracking. Can't imagine what goes through the head of a Verizon corporate crum bum to insist on installing VZ navigator for this phone. What moron would even consider paying $10/ month when you can get it for free?
