Who thinks that we will see ICS tomorrow april 4th? what do you think about it?

Most of us have seen the ad for it. Is it real or is it a hoax? We will find out within the next 24 hours.

The thing is, it is NOT an ad; nor was it ever said to be an ad. It was allegedly an internal communication to employees. Even if it were real, there's no false advertising when the document wasn't even meant for public viewing. It's one of those memos that is a "heads-up" to employees, so they know what is going on when a bunch of people suddenly start coming in with a totally different OS on their device.

This may be the day the soak test will begin pushing, as that could affect devices sold by Best Buy.

if the soak test invites are still going out it would seem to me that means that there will be a week or so of "soak tests" till an update would roll out

as long as no showstopper bugs are found in the soak test the update must be very close but I don't expect anything on the 4th but maybe Verizon will surprise me for once

Believe it or not, for whatever reason v5.9.902 for the Droid Bionic went official the day after the soak test began. Or perhaps it was 2 days after.

Am I the only one that saw an ad that looked like it was from Best Buy saying Droid Razr and Maxx would get ICS on April 4th and Rezound on April 6th?

I don't think it was an ad. It was an internal memo to employees that was not meant to be seen by the public. Who knows what will happen tomorrow, or if it was even real?

i woke up this morning to my phone telling me i have 8 app updates available but when i go to the play store to see what they are my installed app page turns up blank. weird.

Play Store is pretty goofy sometimes. Sometimes it tells me I have a bunch of updates and when I look, there are just a couple. Yesterday Soundhound wasn't showing up at all in "my apps" of Play Store and now it's back in there today. I had no update notification today, but when I opened it there were three updates waiting. Like I said, it's goofy sometimes. Don't worry about it.

Just to make sure you know (you probably do), you won't see ICS update in play store at all. It's a totally separate OTA update unrelated to Play Store.

I think I will decline the update for a couple of weeks and see how others are doing.
My RAZR is running flawlessly right now and I don't want to break something that is not broken. :biggrin:
There is nothing in ICS that really motivates me to upgrade.

It is my understanding that Swype doesn't work on ICS? Can anyone confirm or debunk this? I have only been using Swype for the month since I've had my phone but think it's the best thing since sliced bread. Hopefully my news is old news, and I have no worries of losing Swype when migrating to ICS.

Well....i guess that answers it. I rather they work on it so it can be a successful update that rushing it out. Besides, GB works just fine right now.

Just received my email that the soak test will begin in the morning. So that i dont get left out of the soak test i did make a new profile so i can let you guys know this. Hang in there. if everything goes ok ics should be out soon. And no. im not going to post the link to the download.
