why 2.2 upgrade?

I agreed all the good things about 2.2. I also got the update ( 2.2, Build# FRG01B ) and was so happy to get that update. But now none of my videos plays. I have so many video clips that I converted ( MP4 848x480, 1000 ) which was playing before the update. It playes all videos that I recorded with my phone. But none that I converted and copied. Any one have any idea why it is not playing? Please advice me.

Try going to the "issues" and tech support subforum to get help with that.

That's because you don't have it. You can 1 of 2 things. You can manually download and install here through the forums(I don't have the link sorry) or you can wait for the 2nd froyo update in which you will then be able to download flash through the android market for use on your phone.

This link has a link to a download for a final build of Flash 10.1 for the Nexus one -- it works on the Droid, it just doesn't have the hardware optimizations we're hoping will be included in the Droid version -- and install instructions.

Most of them have been betas, and most of the betas have been for the Nexus 1. Don't be surprised that it works, be happy that it does.

That second update in the news section isn't official (yet) because as soon as people install it they get FRG01B update notifications. It also doesn't allow Flash to be seen. Go ahead and install Flash from the forum. When it becomes official for the Droid there will be a story posted on it and you can either install from the market or uninstall manually and install the one from the market at that point.

Honestly what was the point? Froyo is more complicated, harder to use, has compatability issues with apps I was already using, and drains my battery in 1 day instead of three, was there any benefits at all to forcing my phone to upgrade besides the 2 extra app screens that I'm probably not going to use because I liked the way I had it set up already? I'm almost angry enough to switch to iphone...

I dont know what froyo you got but mine is far from any more comlicated to use, way faster, much more responsive, and the battery issue fixes itself in a day or two it seems like

If you weren't looking for results from both sides why make the poll. The 2.2 update is great! Learn how your phone works and maybe then you'll see.
