Why am I paying for visual voicemail service that takes 10 minutes to retrieve??

The account balance is for international calls. You can have a prepaid international account, ignore it if you won't be using it. Yes I knew there was a widget, but just not one like you mentioned. You're gonna love GV!

Google voice itself is free, the account balance is for if u wish to use it to make international calls. As far as seting it up its easy go to menu settings call settings then change your voice mail services to Google voice and follow the instructions. On a side note i haven't used verizons voice mail since the day before i got my droid and dont regret it at all.
