why doesnt facebook sync with my contacts

Hey i just upgraded from droid 1 to droid x and when i installed facebook it never asked me to sync with contacts.. I know it worked on original droid and i got twitter to sync with contacts on droid x.. does anyone know why facebook sync isnt an option?
