Nope...def something hardware. Oh well, I was able to get me a new toy that I've really enjoyed! Sad day tho...sad day...

Mine did the same thing. I just opened it up and replaced the capacator under the screen and it fixed the problem. It is a really invasive process though, not for everyone, I was kinda nervous to do it lol.
