You do realize you are comparing a max overclocked D1 to a stock phone right? Just so you know....
Apparently you have not tested these phones side by side, the D1 is garbage compared to this phone in every aspect. " but bro check out my quadrants~!!!!!" They mean $hit when it comes down to actual daily driving these phones. My D1 was over clocked to 1.25 ghz and it still did not touch the fascinate in completely stock form.
These NEW phones that are coming out wont be much better until they can figure out the battery issues ( as in batter technology is quite on par with processors )
So have fun with your slow/heavy/ugly/small screen/crappy keyboard/moto crap phone

Wow! Really? Since when was the Droid a slow/heavy/ugly/small screen/crappy keyboard/moto crap phone?? Isnt this the phone that made Android popular? The first phone that went directly against the iphone? The Droid is still an amazing phone and still will be for atleast another year. This phone has a LARGE community. What about your samsung? Ohhh you guys get a small subforum. The Droid is great because it's overclockable/has tons of roms/and has stock android *****ty touchwiz FTL*. And i'd rather have a phone that's made well and has a nice heft to it than a crappily made samsung phone that has literally no weight. And the thing that really will make the fascinate bad? It's still on 2.1 when Gingerbread is coming out in november.. I wouldn't be suprised if the fascinate doesn't get gingerbread. Maybe it will in summer but it's doubtful.

uh oh... I'm starting to hurt peoples feelings lol...Yes the droid started it all ( thats how I got into it). I had the droid 1 and I loved it. But compared to the fascinate it is nothing but that.
Yes we have a gazzzziiillion roms for the D1 and thats great but you can only rework the same roms over so many times. I used bugless beast and LFY. But thats the only reason that phone has kept its pep, Stock it is terribly slow ( now that is haha)
This is my first sammy phone and even though it doesn't have the crazy froyo's on it, it still serves its purpose just fine. Samsung is being pretty slow in this area. But hopefully they aren't pulling a Motorola and pushing out a sh!tty half baked 2.2 like they did for the DX.
And we have a small section because they aren't branding this phone as a DROID. Which is their current bread and butter for the smartphone category. You know where they put the Fascinate? Yeah right next to the god damn Blacksh1ttys !!!! You moto fan boys wouldn't hate this phone so much if it had DROID written all over it, Simple as that. And bing lol
Droid 1 faults:
keyboard - Although I got used to it it was still uncomfortable
Camera - Go take a Picture
Screen- is just a tad too small, it was too long and not wide enough
Speaker - mine started crackling in the first couple of months.
Wifi- I don't want to explain it all but I had problems lol
I did love my droid and the more I think about it I miss it hahaha... But Samsung has made an awesome phone and its truly a shame they don't give it the software ( no bing) and the props it deserves.
