I have a rooted Droid X 2.3 and using my phone as a WiFi hotspot quit working after upgrading to Gingerbread. In Froyo it worked perfectly, although there were plenty of other problems in Froyo that I don't want to go back.
It will connect and show Internet Access but when I try to browse a page, it takes me to the Verizon page to soak me for another $20/month.
I have upgraded the WiFi Tether app, tried Barnacle and other tricks like toggling airplane mode, but it still doesn't work. I looked into RadioComm but wondering if there's a better way to make my phone a hotspot?
