Will any microSDHC card work with this phone?

I've yet to see/find a 32gb micro sd card in stock and available to purchase. Everyone says they're out there though...

Sandisk has been selling 32g microsdhcs at $200 a pop on its website, but can't make them fast enough to keep up with demand. They're currently on backorder. The Chinese ebay seller has accumulated nearly 100 orders over the last couple days, but the only one they've actually delivered generated negative feedback, so I have my doubts that they're for real. At the rate they're accumulating orders, they could easily disappear after pocketing several thousand bucks.

32gb is tha max for the droid

To get off the debate of available or not, do we know for a fact that the droid will recognize a 32gb card???

Been searching this out a bit lately and at first it was annouced as only being able to recognize 16gb. I have since read that it indeed supports 32gb. I found this information at HTC's website about the Incredible.

What are the options for external memory for my device?
The device supports up to 32GB microSD memory cards.

I was curious why this phone was advertised as only using 16 gigs... when all others could do more. I know that recognizing capacity is usually a software thing, and i know that it is 2.00 compliant which goes up to 32gb... so why the limitations...

I would bet that it does read 32gb, but it was originally advertised as 16 mainly because at the time the advertisement was made, 32gb cards were either not available or were so very scarce and expensive that it was pointless to boast about it.

There is no software or hardware limitation I see that should limit this phone to 16gb.

Edit: wow... just realized how old this thread was lol...Damn Google search results.

Well, if you still have questions, I'm currently using the Sandisk 32 GB card from VerizonWireless in my Dinc. While the VZW website says my device does NOT support the card, it works beautifully, and I currently have 26.73 GB worth of music on it, along with my other SD card stuff. Only have 2.629 GB free.

Your own supposition makes sense to me, as well.
