Some people are saying they got the ota this morning, however it hasn't been proven, and they could be trolls. But VZW did say September. I'll post back if I hear anything else.

How to Force Your Android Phone to Check for a System Update

It seems like when I just go through the settings to check for the update it doesn't actually go out and check. I've tried this and it says it checked, but no update yet still. Anyone know the frequency with which the phone actually checks for updates and does this actually force it to happen?

There have been sporadic reports. I think VZW sent out a small group of test updates first before a big push.

You could always try installing the full RUU (Rom Upgrade Utility)that is floating around and is the same OTA update all users will end up with eventually...

got the update this morning...where'd my pictures go? some apps? wtf?! i'm pissed AND i got that damn low on disk space icon...

rebooted...fixed pictures...thank god...and just have to reinstall some apps but still have the low disk space issue...

This is NOT the OTA, people! (Kmo, I know you already know this after yesterday but I just want to make sure other people are aware). This is a leaked version of the OTA from a few weeks ago.

I expect the OFFICIAL OTA will be publicly available sometime today or tomorrow at the latest for those of you that want to install it on your own.
