So I can remember a few months back, that during Google's I/O presentation on Froyo, I was amazed at some of the features they were demoing. Namely, the ability to purchase music, apps, and other materials on your desktop computer, and have them instantly beamed to your phone OTA.

Since that day, I haven't heard anything about this feature. It's swell to be able to send a weblink or directions, but I think it'd be pretty sweet to be able to cash in on all the other bits and goodies that were demoed that day. Am I the only one that remembers that?

I believe this is part of the DX Froyo update

The music streaming is most likely not going to be included in Froyo. I believe it was a demo of "things to come" which didn't necessarily mean 2.2. I imagine we'll see it in 3.0 (Gingerbread). As for pushing links and maps from your browser to your phone, it was recently announced. It is called "Chrome to Phone" and can be read about here. Download and install the Chrome extension, then install the corresponding app from the market place. It's one of my favorite features in Froyo.
