Wireless Moot

I have been on 232 for almost a week now. The only issue I have had is when connected to a generic moto charger everything goes crazy when using the the touchscreen. I have some lag between home and app tray at times other than that it has been a very positive experience compared to 905 GB
This used to happen on the OG Droid with generic chargers, as well. If the charger is electrically "noisy", it will interfere with the capacitive sensor.

Video recording? It works in camera zoom FX. Only thing I can't get working is camera flash, it doesn't actually flash when taking a pic. Stock camera app is borked, though.

Sounds slightly better than an ICS ROM on gingerbread, never did that though either, lol.

Im still indecisive. XP
What is the information we have so far that 246 will almost certainly be the final build before ota?

--Its basically bug-free.
--Verizon apparently approved it.
--No new builds as of yet.
--Verizon and Motorola have reached an agreement.
--Punit Soni has taken over Motorola and is committed to providing us with timely updates, and has also stated the Bionic ICS is on his radar, and will come much sooner than December. (Whatever that means)
--For each day the updates late, verizon now has to lose 1k. So theyve gotta let this one out the door, right?

And the risks for installing the leak:

--I could damage my ESN if it ****s up.
--Ill be yelled at for not doing the HoB correctly.
--I may brick my phone from doing something I have limited knowledge in, and be unable to get out of it.
--I may be off the OTA path if 246 doesnt become the OTA.
--I'm taking a leap of faith without hard solid knowledge that this is where we end up.

One thing you're overlooking, and something no one's really discussed with you about all this. People freak out about "getting off the OTA path." OH NO. The horrors. Here's the thing. You wouldn't be off the OTA path for very long even in a worse case scenario. More than likely, we'll get ourselves an FXZ within a few weeks of the OTA being released. That will get you back on the OTA path for sure. And even without an FXZ, there's a damn good chance I can move us to whatever build they put out. So, it's up to you, but, we've not lost a phone yet. Not really.

It's MUCH better than an ICS ROM on gingerbread. On my device, I could NEVER get data on those more than once. On CM10, there is a recent data fix (9/24, I believe) and data is literally rock solid. It even handles handoffs well. I would consider it 95% fully functional, with the camera oddities being the only real issue.

OK so I am a semi-noob when it comes to bionic (I did have alot of fun with the eris), but I thought if you went higher than the 232 leak, you could not go back to 905 and obtain the OTA.

I want kexec without safestrap. :D

Indeed. There's really nothing to complain about in 246. I mean, every OTA we've ever had has had WAY more problems. People should really appreciate what Moto has done for us.
In general terms, .246 is better than any OTA I've seen on a Motorola phone, to be honest. Even the best OTA on the Droid 1 wasn't as good as this ICS build. And THAT was a GED.

You cannot go back to .905, but have faith in Samuri and the HoB to get us back on the OTA path if for some reason .246 isn't it.

I just installed 246 yesterday and haven't really put my phone down since, between playing with this new OS and reading this thread. My right arm and shoulder is aching! Lol I think I need some Motrin! Or maybe I'll just go to bed, haha

It takes way too long to type something out on here, on my Bionic, and have it be anywhere close to an up to date reply with how fast this thread is gaining posts.
