Wireless Moot

This makes me want to leave 232 even more.

That's a decision only you can make. You all know the warnings by now. You know that 246 is probably going to be OTA but there's no guarantees. if it's not, I can most likely move you to a new build as we have done for the previous 10. I've made the HoB drop dead simple at this point.

sent from my. 246 ics leaked bionic

wow!

I agree. Moto has done a fantastic job on this build. Anyone who says we've been "neglected" can bite it. Cause quite frankly Moto has put in a TREMENDOUS effort on our build of ICS. I for one LOVE my Bionic with 246.
Yeah, the way it runs it would seem that Moto took a lot of time to tightly customize the code for the device. Why else would a Bionic running ICS be able to out-benchmark a Galaxy Nexus running ICS?

Those that haven't jumped yet I think are in for quite a surprise. Going from 905 to 246...holy hell I can't even imagine what that's like. It's been *SO* long since I ran 905 that it's hard to remember how slow it was in comparison at this point. But, 246 truly rocks.

I gotta agree with you. Yesterday (my first full day on 246) I got 17 hours with 1% left on my extended battery, but that was with very heavy use nearly all day, plus the first part of the day the phone was constantly trying to connect to 4G (it's barely there where in my house). So far today, with 12h 25m on battery, I'm at 54% and that's with heavy use. I'm going to go crazy with videos and stuff to run the battery down before I go to bed, so I can give it another full charge cycle.

Oh hell why not.

Haven't wanted yo go back to GB and I have insurance. So if my phone randomly wants to break I'm good.

It's a completely new phone. No comparison between the 905 Bionic and the ICS Bionic. Better in every way so far.

Yup I definitely agree. I have no complaints. It's why I'm considering holding on to it til next year to see what MotoGoog cooks up for us. My next phone needs to be a quad core.

Make sure to follow all directions for the HoB and it'll make it quite painless.

Oh I'm not worried. I used your method before you named it HoB. It was painless back then so I can't image it would be hard now.

I'm just sad about all the folks jumping ship and writing the device off as a piece of junk. I would have loved to have been able to see some people eat their words when they actually experienced ICS. The problem is, Gingerbread made some people think the actual hardware was the issue.

Thanks Samuri, just used HOB to move from .232 to .246, as painless as it could get. If it was any easier I could kick Chuck Norris butt :icon_ banana:

It certainly ain't hardware related.
