Good morning everyone,
I know everyone is upset that Samurai is leaving and in a way, so are we. We truly appreciate the support he has willingly provided to the community, on his own time, and without any sort of compensation for doing so. However, Samurai himself on many occasions has said openly that he has a certain style of responding to members, which unfortunately can be less then favorable at times. It is our differing opinions (by "our" opinions I mean both DF guidelines and Samurai's) on his style that has lead him to make this decision.
And yes we do this in the name of Family Friendly. At DF we truly pride ourselves on members treating each other with the utmost respect and dignity, it is what we were founded on and will continue to strive for.

I would argue that the people that instigated most of the 'issues' were the ones violating the respect and dignity of Samurai. He put alot of effort into the HoB and helping people out. And even more time making it easy and safe to use. Including a lengthy post of warnings and a FAQ, which was entirely from his own goodwill. They disrespected him by completely ignoring nearly every last line of what he painstakingly laid out for them to use, then expecting him to come in and whisk all of their troubles away without a care. I think even you in your infinite mod-dom would become exasperated by people repeatedly ignoring any and all warnings and advice given and expecting fixes. This is what led him to the 'infringing' aspects of his responses. He was nothing but cordial with everyone who spent a measly 2 minutes to read the - manual, and everyone else on the forum.
Its a good thing then that he's up and left, makes all of your jobs easier. There will hardly be any posts left here to moderate.
I am a lurker here, dont post much, but have been following this thread now for a few days, very interesting info posted here that I had not read anywhere else. Been waiting for ICS forever on this damn Bionic. Hope new info will be posted here still even with Samuri leaving. Shame to see people that really know their stuff leave.
Oh also, curious, I ran Quadrant on my phone and numbers seem low. I know a lot fo folks here are OC's and on ICS already, I am on 905 still. These seem normal to anyone?

I also have a build date of 44/11 so I am guessing I dont have the better chipset. This was a replacement phone, wonder if the one I had gotten right when they came out could have had the other.
I am just a regular user, never rooted or done anything more than (try) and use this damn phone. So sorry for my noobish rambles.
