For the record, my ATARI 2600 and NES still work.
NES's can easily be brought back to life with a new 72 pin connector bought off eBay and youtube instruction video.

I also replaced the MPU and PIO chips on a heavy sixer that I found for 15 bucks. Cant get better than that!
