Wireless tether

Some clarification is requested. The OP is asking for wireless tether on Gingerbread 2.3.........But am I correct that wireless tether is gone once you are on GB 2.3 even if rooted unless you do the radio hack process ?

That is what I found. I upgraded to GB, rooted, and tried both the 3.0 and 2.0.7 versions of Wireless Tether, and neither one worked (I did NOT radio hack). I ended up SBF'ing back to Froyo, z4'd, and the 2.0.7 started working like a charm once again. Booo Verizon!

Wait! How do I do that? I rooted my phone after the GB update, so is that even an option for me (having no froyo backup)? I am still nervous about flashing a ROM. Lol.
Thinking hard about flashing the cyanogenmod 7 nightflies by revvers, ....or something like that! Lol. Got it downloaded and pretty sure I know all the steps. Just don't understand how it works for some ppl but bricks the phone for others.
