Working On Next Version (2.0)

This version (at least) will be pure AOSP, CM7 based, just like the OG droid. I cannot verify that tethering works, as my DX is not activated - however, I don't see any reason why it would not!

Sounds like you are close to making it happen! Can't wait. Had to go back to my Original droid for a few days and I had SS 5.4 on there. Such an amazing rom. Hope you can bring all that goodness to the x.

Very close! The only things I can see that do not work still are live wallpapers and the camcorder - other than that, you won't notice a difference between SSX 2.0 and SS 5.4 (other than SSX is faster)!

With the current install, you will need to be running 2.2.340, or a CM7 ROM. If not - would have to get 2.3.340 on there first. However - IF there is enough demand for it - I could build an update.zip that would work coming from any ROM, like TBH did for CM7.

Im running liberty rom .8. And also I would love an update.zip. would things so much easyer. I would also test it for you. X)

But there is a saying, everytime someone asks for a ROM ETA a dev dies a little.
Chevy does good work, despite his liking of the bowtie brand (Ford FTW )
Just be patient and you'll get a good product.

Yup - a piece of me died when I saw that, ha ha!

I actually HOPE to release the beta today - will see how things go. Just need to do a bit more testing myself!

My wife likes Ford's - I try (really hard!) to let that slide, lol!

aosp/cm7 for sure! the og droid i got as a replacement for my x til i get my new one in the mail is blazing! it blows my x out of the water with its speed and customizability, even when my x was oc'd to its limit. cannot wait to get my x back and more importantly when this rom is stable enough to play with.

I am going to build this using pieces of the all-in-one installer that TBH put together - specifically, a separate zip you would need to flash if coming from anything other than 2.3.340 - but will make it relatively easy to install my ROM when coming from say LGB 0.8
