Would you trade your Max for a Galaxy S3 ?

So tell us why? All agree the battery on the Max is superior but if it runs out you screwed. The S3 is very fast and has other features. I compaired a Razor (not the Max) for reception and it did not out perform the S3.

I can sum it up in one word.

Reception

Or lack of. Network and wifi reception on the SIII was nowhere near as good as the Maxx or any of my other previous Moto devices. Same situation I had with the G'Nex. One other thing I did not like is that it was very uncomfortable to hold and use one handed. Even with a case. The buttons were down so low that they were really hard to thumb reach and the curved bottom made it really hard to keep a good hold on it. Battery life??? Well that goes without saying. Just nothing about it made me want to keep it and ditch the Maxx.

The MAXX is perfect for me. The only reason I will upgrade now is if it is no longer supported, and the battery life of the replacement is as good or better than the MAXX.

That said, I don't care what tiny features might be better than what the MAXX has to offer. If it doesn't have equal or greater battery life, forget it.

The Galaxy S3 reminds me of a great phone to give my wife once she gets bored of her white iPhone.

I'll stick with the Maxx.

Does the S3 have Siri?

That is weird. I am on the opposite end of this spectrum. I got my Maxx in March and also preordered a S3. I have had the S3 for about a week now and find that in all the areas (work/home and mall ect...) I am getting as good or better reception. My Maxx will be heading to Ebay soon.

Choclate and Vanilla (Thank you Baskin-Robbins). I believe it is fairly universally held that when it comes to Phone Function (Radios) Motorolla is among the Top performers.
Some (Me) want/need/demand that at the very least their device has the best possible reception, call quality and battery life.
After all IF the device can not connect, hold a call and last until it can be charged - the possibility of NOT functioning when it needs to is very real.
Bells and whistles are fun but when the rubber has to meet the road it needs to perform as a Phone.
I've never "tweeted" a 911 call.
My Wife has a Samsung, oldest Son's girlfriend has one too. I expect my daughter will gravitate in that direction, so much for the gentler gender caring about "phone function" when asked they simply reply "it's cuter".
I'll stick with my Maxx.

I would have to agree, good radios are very important. My last Samsung didn't hold signal very good. Since the bootloader is locked it would be a big NO

It has S-voice which is like Siri....Siri might be a little better. Not sure because I have not had time to play with S-voice.

Im sure the S3 is going to be sweet, but Im really happy with my Maxx, especially on .215, working beautifully dancedroid

I would rather have an S3, no question. The battery on the S3 can last a day while the Max can last longer. But at the end of the day you'll still charge your phone. S3 is superior but it has half a year advantage on the RAZR so it would be bad if it didn't.

Good luck with that. Maybe 2 hours screen time vs almost 5 hours on a single days charge. Yeah the SIII will last the day. If you don't use it very much.

Having owned an iPhone 4S, and currently owning an S3, S Voice is worse than Siri. Siri worked well about two-thirds of the time. S Voice works well about half the time. The new Google Voice Search on Jelly Bean is far ahead of both.

My Fascinate did, it can't be any worse. And besides with wall chargers and car chargers it's all good.

I agree the fascinate last me 7 hours using heavy. Moderate use would last me about 12 to 14 hours of use.
