some times my maxx goes from 100 to 99 as soon as i unplug it from the charger. The meters just a guestamate anyway.

Yeah, that's how my D3 does. Mainly because it doesn't actually charge to a full 100%. FoxKat posted several extensive posts describing how the battery meter works in another thread.
