You Will Be Forced Off Unlimited If You Try To Buy A Phone Full Price At A Corporate Verizon Store

You could always download it, run it for a month and then uninstall it. I wouldn't think an app like this would take up a lot of space or use any system resources, until you run it at the end of the month to pull those numbers.

Has there been any further confirmations that Verizon customers on UDPs being forced off of the plan when paying full price for the phone in the store?

I still have my GSIII from three years ago and it sounds like I am stuck with it if I want to keep my UDP. Even if I bought a phone else where, I don't think my older SIM card is compatible, so I would be forced to activate a new card at a Verizon store.

VirtualCLD, I believe it was 94lt1 who just activated a phone without losing his unlimited. I believe the consensus is to make sure you activate it at home rather than let a Verizon rep do it in store. For the sim card, you can get a free replacement sim in the vz store.

Nothing "official" has been released by Verizon. That means you should still be able to keep your UD plan if you buy your new device outright. As mentioned, member @94lt1 didn't have a problem keeping his. Just tell them up front that you want to keep your plan, Verizon has to give you a new sim card. I would tell them you want to activate it yourself. If you let them activate it, they may kick you off unlimited, they can fix that in the store, just make sure you confirm with them BEFORE you walk out the door, that your UDP is still intact.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Yeah...I activated a g4 on one of my other ud lines..played with it for most of the day..returned it..payed the 35$ and put my maxx back on the line...ud still intact..

I think I can confirm what a few others have said. I bought. A new phone on-line, it arrived yesterday. Put my current SIM in and activated it. It's been about 24 hours now and no changes to my current Verizon plan. I don't know what happens when you want to but a phone at full price in a store, but buying it online and then activating does not seem to change whatever plan you are on

Things still good? I need to replace my S4 and I'm looking at the Note 4 or Note Edge and don't want to loose my unlimited plan. Most months I'm not a huge data user (20-30GB) but it makes sense to keep it.

Bought another lg g4 for $100 from best buy by upgrading my unlimited data line. Switched Sims prior to turning on the phone and kept my old unlimited data.

This is now 4th time I've done this.
