I remember being excited when I sold them. We had two of them. They really burned through battery power.

I remember standing in line waiting for the phone on release day. I was expecting an iPhone like line only to see a bell line at midnight. Nevertheless I was excited all the same. I remember telling the guy not to take it out of the box, after reading forum post about Verizon reps loading more bloatware, only to watch the rep take it out of the box and drop it on the floor (and still proceeded to take the new unbroken one out of the box). The other one wasn't really broken, just dinged (as the rep tried to sell me on). Thankfully that day the manager stepped up after seeing what happened and told the rep to get another one.
Those were the good old days, before Verizon went full ....

There was just so much community hype around that phone. Just an awesome buzz.

I was excited, still have mine and it works perfect with minimal screen burn-in, minimal for the amount the device was used that is.

I haven't recaptured the love of the OG Droid though, not to this day.
