Why?

Looks like Verizon is trying to sell a rooted Droid 1 as a new phone!

The 1GHZ OMAP processor will easily outperform the Droid's OMAP overclocked to 1GHZ. The hertz aren't the only contributor to performance.

It looks like a great update overall--not enough to warrant an early upgrade from me, though. Hell, I'm not even a year into my contract!

As far as I can tell without geting to far into the data sheet the only diffrence between the OMAP 3430 and the 3630 is the clock speed and the 45nm architecture vs 65nm. Yes this would help with power consumption and heat would go along with that, but power is really the only difference. A 3430 OC to 1GHz should run faster then a stock 3630 at 700Mhz and the same for a 3630 at 1GHz. You can proboly OC the 3630 more then a 3430 because of the power and heat reduction. Does anyone know if the BUS speed on a 3630 is any faster then the 3430?
