updated with new 30.04 file in no less than 3 places on the tut. enjoy

Just a heads up (and for clarification)...
Just having 30.04 does NOT mean that the bootloader has been updated to 2.3.320/2.3.340.

Some replacement phones DID ship with 2.3.151 and the 30.04 bootloader, and they CAN use the 2.3.15 .sbf!!!
IF you're on 30.04, and you've NEVER done the OTA to 30.04, and you've NEVER installed the TBH 2.3.320 update.. then it would probably be safe to .sbf to 2.3.15...

There is a lot of minunderstanding with this, and it adds a lot of confusion to the process.... but I hope this helps!

from my tut, first post
This [30.04] usually corresponds to Android Versions 2.3.320 and 2.3.340, but can also come stock on a refurbished phone. If you attempt to flash the wrong .sbf file you will seriously **** up your phone.

dunno why you'd want to use 2.3.151 when you can use .320 or .340

DOH, I know I read that.. but I think the part I was referring to, was 4th post, where it just says "30.04 bootloader .sbf file.. :p
Anyway, VERY nicely done btw... Thanks for putting this up!

ok so I got the files loaded but when I hook up the phone there is nothing that comes up in the device properties. Uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and still nothing. Also there is nothing that shows up in the file properties when I select the file to flash. Tried to toggle the deviceid with no luck.

You unzipped the .sbf, right? What version of windows are you on? Is it the oem cable or third party? Do you have a different machine you could try? Have you tried an ubuntu livecd with the sbf_flash utility?

are you downloading this file?
Download | Ubuntu
and what you do is you burn the .iso to a disk, then boot from the disk, and use it as a livecd to 'test' ubuntu
from in there, you get the sbf_flash util, then plug your dx in through usb cable, and follow the tut instructions to flash the sbf file to your phone
in this route, it wont' override windows

you could also do a dual-boot, but since you're doing this only to flash the sbf file, i would say just use the livecd

Sorry for the late rely, was in my final, means you're almost there! The dx was found, all you need to do is run the program as superuser(root)
If the terminal is still open and on that screen type
sudo !!
or if not type
sudo ./sbf_flash [sbf name]
