I have a Droid X and I'm using gmail. Is there any way to set the preferences so that when I delete an e-mail from the Droid it leaves it in my gmail inbox on my computer. Right now when I delete it from the droid it deletes it from my inbox in gmail on the computer.

Thanks

You can just mark it as read? LOl, the droids email is same email as on you pc... When you delete an email your deleting it off google servers. Your pc is connected to their servers just like the droids is. I dont see why youd want to delete emails off your droid but see them on your pc... if you want to view it later than just dont delete the email. (its not like your droid keeps notifying you that you didnt delete the email.) But to answer your question... i dont think you can do that.

gmail

On my work Blackberry I can set the preferences to delete from the Blackberry but leave the e-mail in my Outlook. That way I don't junk up the Blackberry and when I get to work I can move them to saved folders, print them or delete them from Outlook. I'm just used to doing things that way.

You can file the Gmail into different folders/labels on your phone and then print them off your PC if you want as well. But if you want to delete an email, you may as well just delete it off your phone and not have to worry about needing to delete it off your PC. If you want you could even make a label "to print" and then when done printing, check the top box that checks all of them and delete off PC. Don't know if it would work the same for Outlook, but you started with asking about Gmail.
