Is there a way to make your screen look less pentile or atleast just make everything look sharper without being rooted?

Sure. Install ics leak or wait for the ota. I think the colors on my bionic look a little brighter since installing 232. I thought it was my imagination, but, i have gone back to gb a couple of times and i swear the screen looks better while running ics.
