$150 Lapdock 500

I have one I don't use...guess I will put it on Craigslist ...works great though ...no selling things on here though...just wouldn't sit in my lap comfortably like I wanted ...hard to use switching from touch screen on phone...good luck getting one to everyone looking!

Our sister forum www.android.net has a classified section. Worth a shot.

Oh and adding that I got shipping confirmation on mine.

Tap'd to the Maxx

Received an OOS email message yesterday. Not surprising since I ordered one about 12 hours after first seeing a story about the price on the web. I suspect that their current stock was gone in a few hours. Considering that I'm sitting here at my desk with six monitors and four keyboards I can wait.

Got mine today and functions as advertised. The Internet is actually very good with my Razr Maxx docked. USB mouse works great as does the rj-45 connector from my cable modem. The docking tray is a bit of a challenge but just did a double fold of the connection tether cable and my phone fit just fine. To utilize my DocumentsToGo phone application with DropBox worked but presented only what the phone would normally view. After expanding the phone view on the 14" units screen and changing the 'file view' size to 50% I could see my spreadsheets, word and PDF documents just fine full screen sized. FireFox browser is fine for viewing the Internet with multiple web tabs open. So far so good for how I intended to usetilize the LapDock 500 Pro. Now I do not have to tether my phone to another device to get Internet access when on the go. I will just plug my phone into the LapDock 500 Pro and connect. Time from connecting the phone until the LapDock 500 Pro is available to use is between 2-3 seconds.

Great update, thanks. So, you are saying you expand the phone's view and it can encompass the entire screen so you can access all apps from your phone such as quickoffice, dropbox, netflix, etc? Do you have to use firefox or can you open a browser from your phone? Sorry if these are stupid questions. Everything I've seen on Moto's screen or youtube show the phone as a small app on the 14" screen.

Great to hear it docks with the Maxx. Do you think it would work with the shell/holster from Verizon (shell only ) or will I have to be naked to dock tee hee hee :)

Your screen has two view sections, one can expand over the other. Pretty cool.

If the case is not only thick it should work just fine. You can also just connect the phone and leave it beside the LapDock.

Thanks for the info. Not being able to dock is not a deal breaker. But it would be nice. Just curious if your using it on 4g or 3g ?

At this point only 3G, my home wifi or cable modem. Will try cable modem and wifi later for speed test.
