2.1 issues

I finally got the update Saturday but ended up with some issues.
1. I can't put my voice mail password back in through settings.
2. My speed dial won't stay when I put them in.
3. I am on exchange and it asks for a password each time I use the phone.
The update seems good but these issues are very annoying can anyone help please?

Interesting on #3. I have webmail through work, and it is doing the same thing to me now. I am thinking this was one of the 22 security changes for business they mentioned in the update flier.

is anyone having problems with a laggy phone pad. Calling people the phones actual function is really slow and constantly non-responsive.

No voice to text, either ... frustrating. I guess we'll have to call VZW to see what to do next. (unless someone has a suggestion)

Texting pad at times does seem a little slow but the other thing I have noticed is I can't get my weather to keep the Update Automatically setting to stay. I can check the box all day and it always unchecks itself.

#1 - I was able to put mine in no problem, but for some reason when I go to my VM during the pause it vibrates once, beeps once, and then puts my password in.

#3 - My Exchange works fine although the 'Mail' icon has a green circle with a number that keeps rising as I get new emails even if I read or delete them.

My known issues so far:

1. lost every contact i had put in the phone since I bought the phone (luckily it was back in april)

2. email is severly lagging and not updating nearly as well as 1.5

3. some calls aren't coming through at all. others come in and it takes a few rings to identify who's calling (number shows up, but the name doesn't come in til it's already rang once or twice)

4. the people i had synched with facebook's photos don't show up anymore. there doesn't seem to be a "synch with facebook" option when entering a contact anymore.

5. overall slowness of the phone.

the only pro's i've noticed are the pinch home screens and the youtube app works now. not nearly an equal trade off in my opinion.

1) When you put contacts into the phone they do not sync back to your google account. I usually enter them into google at my next convenience, then delete the contact that has the "phone" designation on my phone. The one you enter into google will refresh over.

2) Agreed. Even with manual refreshes it doesn't seem to bring the email over. Then suddenly they'll be there.

3) I've had no issues with making or receiving calls.

4) I don't use FB (evil). However, I have read in other threads that this option (syncing with FB) is available. Do some searching in this forum.

5) My phone hasn't seemed any slower than prior to the update. In fact, I haven't used Task Killer once, unlike 1.5 where I used it several times a day. Maybe you have many more apps loaded than I do?

Wife's Eris update went OK, and her phone actually seems "better", but it was overall somewhat anti-climactic.

Biggest problem is that the People app seems to have lost it's ability to select what groups to sync. I have seen others complain of the missing "sync groups" menu selection as well.

Every update I've ever had on a smartphone seems that way to me. So much hype and not that much change really.

Sorry to chime in here but after reading COUNTLESS posts like this, I am glad the OTA skipped the leakers because I am sure I would have jumped on it and my only issue as it is on leak v3 is that the dialer functions are trash. But then again they always were and I think its just the Eris' achilles heel.

I hate it for those that held off all this time and didnt leak. Good luck with all of this and I will always post any info that may help others in the future.
