Comment on the rooting bit....my understanding is that while you can root the Milestone you can not apply new roms (unsigned ones)

On the camera app....is it faster or better than what you had before on 2.01? Can someone upload their /system/app/camera.apk to here? With Astro you should be able to longpress the file, send to, email it to yourself, add a .zip to the end of it and upload it to there. thanks

How do you update this on the phone?
I have a Milestone from Singapore and using it in Canada. I downloaded the update but don't know how to install this on the phone. Can someone assist me please with steps. Also as a side note I did Root the phone, will that affect the update? I currently have 2.0.1

I heard the same thing. We won't be getting when we get 2.1 though, it isn't part of that package. When we get closer to the release of that I'm sure it will be announced.

Full list of updates in 2.1. One to note is the inclusion of proper voice dial if I read it correct; "Bluetooth support : support for Bluetooth headset multi function for initiating voice calls"
