well...they didn't break anything
they made update available for everybody (if you have unbranded device, you will probably get update today, or tomorrow)
but if you have branded device it is up to operaters how long they will be testing this update - and when they think that it is ready, moto will allow this users to update device....

so I don't think that rollout date is broken (as I have said, motorola has made it's part of business in this update)

and comon...
ONLY we (milestone users) are getting this updates very quick
just look at other android devices, and how many are still running 1.5 or 1.6....

The information on their own website stated clearly and categorically that 2.1 would be rolled out "By the end of Q1"

I have now learned that UK Milestones will not get the OTA anyway so we have to wait for it to become available in SU and it is very unlikely they will do that until all the other European OTA's have gone out.
 
A bit more from Moto.

"Hi Roger, as the 2.1 upgrade rolls out across France, Germany, Italy & UK, an advance version of the upgrade is initially made available via PC download. An over-the-air version will follow in coming weeks and a notification will be sent to any device not already upgraded"
 
I am in the UK on the Orange Network. Have a UK Milestone phone...I've got the Motorola software installed on the PC at work. This morning while my phone was unplugged from the PC a message popped up on the PC just above the Moto logo on the start menu bar saying there is an update for my phone, serial number...I connected my phoned around midday but it's now saying no update is available.

Yes, the Motorola Media Link icon.

It seemed to remember the serial number of the phone and tell me there was an update available. Wish I didn't leave it 2 hours until midday cos I might have 2.1 running now.

I wonder whether they're slowly implimenting it to make sure the network isn't overloaded and/or to check that there's no problems with the new ROM.
 
In Brasil, it was promised to April, but there is no official date... I don't believe in that, but... Let's wait...
 
i installed v2.1 on my german milestone today via usb update.

everything is fine except when i put it onto the multimedia station
the multimedia station app crashes.

????
 
Possible fix.

1.Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications
2.Press menu button
3.Filter -> All
4. Multimedia station -> Clear data
