Just download it, then extract onto the root of your sd card, and your done.

ok this is going to sound dumb. so don't put it on there as a zip? extract it first and then put it onto the root?

Yes. What I did was mount my droid, download the goodies to my PC, then right-click on it, "extract all". Then find your droid and click ok, and it will extract it directly to the root of your sd card.

kernels

hello,

everytime i try to install one of bekits kernels from here it says installation aborted, i thought that these were made for cyanomod 5.0....

i downloaded them from here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1123576/Android/bekit_kernels/0.8/bekit_boot-links.html

and the thread is here:

Bekit Kernel Discussion (0.8) - CyanogenMod Forum

any ideas ?

my goal was to get (7 slot 1.2GHz max - 250/400/550/800/1000/1100/1200 - Low voltage ) and if possible at all , i would love one that would also include 125.

any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

To keep it simple, open ROM Mgr on your Droid click on Download ROM>Cyanogen ROM and you will see p3droid kernels. Try them they are low voltage. Many say you don't want a 125 which is not used with p3droid's. I am running the 1200 right now and am very happy with it.

Do I need to install a separate kernel to overclock remix 0.7? I just used setcpu and it says I am running at 1100 mhz after enabling it is why I ask.

Has anyone noticed worse battery life using v7 over v6? Reading reports people noticed poor battery performance, and curious if this is true and why this would be.

The rom comes with a 5 slot 1100mhz kernal I believe its one of bekits. All this info is on the opening page. Infact quite a few questions could be answered just by reading the opening page.

Along with my problem of sms and mms not coming through I also don't get any notification many times. No led, no vibrate, no sound when I get a text. Is there a fix for this??

I'm recieving texts and my leds work fine.

I've been running Jrummy's roms exclusively for a couple of months. I've never had any problems. But for some reason I get frequent reboots and fc's after a few hours with v0.7. I've tried blue twice and cyan once. I run the fix permissions. In fact, it was ok until I did the fix permissions last time. Anyone else having these issues?

Jrummy or anyone else have anyone idea what might be causing this. I've tried all the rom themes, wiped the cache/data twice each time, tried different wallpapers, tried helix1 and 2 and used both methods for restoring apps. The only thing I haven't done is experiment with different kernals. I know it must be something I'm doing because other people aren't having the same problems. I've reverted back to v0.6 without any problems. Any ideas?
