4.5.608.en.US Woes

Fails right away. Output too small to print out. Guess it is the icon fix update and no way to roll that one back outside of a recovery, which I don't want to do.

I think i can't update because i have deleted some bloatware app like blockbuster,ecc.. i think that if i do a factory reset than i can upgrade via OTA, but i don't know if i can restore my apps later
A factory reset will not restore deleted bloatware. Did you delete or freeze/rename? If you actually deleted, you should probably SBF.

I think that is my problem. So, no way around that?
In case you made — like you should have — a CWM backup right after you rooted the phone and installed CWM, you can use CWM's Advanced Restore feature to only restore /system. That will restore SystemUI.apk (which is changed by that fix), and unfreeze all bloatware, effectively enabling you to install the update.

Otherwise you'll need SystemUI.apk from a stock 4.5.607 device, or from a CWM backup from such a device.

i unrooted my phone did a factory reset still can't do the update

Well, many posts refer to the need to restore all bloatware, so yes, everything that you disabled/removed has to be replaced before the update can work. Hopefully your remove system app makes it easy to put stuff back.

Then, once the update is done, you can root using the one-click-root method (for example) and then disable the bloatware again.

When an ota updates you phone it updates applications in the system apps one at a time, ota is not like a rom, when it updates the apps one at a time if one is missing it automatically errors out and aborts installation and if you have root in system app or bin it will error out because it is not suppose to be there, same with custom recovery not suppose to be there so it will error out, just sbf back to stock and update and then reroot with p3s root tool for Motorola phones, this is what I did and it went really smooth, no problems at all

Good reply, but some periods and capital letters and individual sentences would make reading so much easier.

It scans everything at the beginning, not as it goes. This is so that if it errors you dont end up with a bootloop because some things arent compatible. Also, being rooted doesnt kill an ota. Bootstrap will however so if your bootstrapped then you have to remove it, root you dont. It is easier to remove root prior to doing an ota though because the root method for GB will error out when trying to install Superuser.apk if it finds that it is already there.
